David Weissbrodt, a world-renowned worldwide human rights advocate and scholar who established the Law School’s Human Rights Center and served on the school for more than 4 decades, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11 on the age of 77. Their work not only helps the career and society, nevertheless it is also another draw for employers to come back to Florida State. For almost 15 years, the UBC Innocence Project has been investigating claims of wrongful conviction in British Columbia. There have been a few recent wins, and many of the program’s college students and alumni say it’s modified how they see their role as lawyers.
